Five People Drown While Bathing in River Indus in Swabi

SWABI: Five people drowned while bathing in the River Indus in Swabi, including a father and his two sons, rescue officials said.

According to rescue sources, teams immediately reached the site after receiving information about the incident and launched a search operation to locate the missing people.

Rescue 1122 spokesperson Luqman Khan said the incident occurred when a young man began drowning while bathing in the river. His father attempted to rescue him but also fell into the water and drowned.

The young man’s other brother then tried to save both his father and brother but also drowned.

The search and rescue operation is continuing to locate all five people who went missing in the river.
