“What Freedom Are We Celebrating?” Asks Dr. Madiha Khan

ISLAMABAD: Renowned social media influencer Dr. Madiha Khan has expressed concern over the country’s current situation, questioning the purpose of celebrating freedom when serious security and social issues persist.

Dr. Madiha Khan said that the 79-year-old system had collapsed and questioned what there was to celebrate in terms of freedom under such circumstances.

She further said that in a society where even an 18-month-old girl is not safe, the celebration of independence raises serious questions about the state of society and security.

Her remarks came amid a broader discussion about the country’s social conditions and the protection of vulnerable citizens.
