Pakistan Receives LNG Cargo from Qatar After Strait of Hormuz Detour

ISLAMABADضPakistan received an LNG cargo from Qatar on Monday under a long-term supply agreement, after the shipment had been turned back from the Strait of Hormuz on July 31.

The LNG carrier **Al Arish** docked at the Pakistan GasPort Limited terminal at around 11:30 a.m., carrying approximately **141,550 cubic meters of liquefied natural gas (LNG)**.

The arrival provides relief to Pakistan’s energy supply system amid ongoing disruptions and uncertainty surrounding commercial shipping through the Strait of Hormuz.
