Pakistanis Being Treated Like ‘Insects and Cockroaches,’ Says Salman Akram Raja

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Secretary General Salman Akram Raja has alleged that the Pakistani nation is being treated with contempt, saying people are being told that their leader is in jail and even his doctors will not be allowed to see him.
Speaking to the media outside the Islamabad High Court, Raja said denying access to PTI founder Imran Khan’s personal doctors was deliberately provoking the public and creating uncertainty.
He said Imran Khan was suffering from an eye-related ailment and that the party was aware that his health had deteriorated a few days ago, although his condition had since improved.
Raja demanded that Imran Khan be given access to his personal physicians, stressing that his blood pressure and other health-related concerns needed to be properly verified.
He questioned why the doctors were being denied access despite the fact that they do not make political statements after meeting the PTI founder.
Raja further said that people were being told that they were “insects” and even “cockroaches,” while Imran Khan’s supporters were being told that their leader was in prison and that even his doctors would not be allowed to meet him.
