Reports Claim Imran Khan Shifted to Hospital Over High Blood Pressure

ISLAMABAD: Reports have emerged claiming that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder and former prime minister Imran Khan was shifted to PIMS Hospital after experiencing high blood pressure.

Journalist Siddiq Jan claimed that Imran Khan was transferred to PIMS Hospital due to high blood pressure and said he was taking full responsibility for the information. He said he had obtained the information from two sources but would not disclose their identities immediately, as doing so could affect the process of obtaining further information.

In a post on social media platform X, Siddiq Jan said some accounts were claiming that the report about Imran Khan being shifted to PIMS because of high blood pressure was false and had allegedly been provided by intelligence agencies.

Jan rejected those claims, saying the information had two separate sources and that he had already discussed the matter in detail in his vlog. He said that if Imran Khan’s sisters did not confirm the report within the next two or three days, he could consider revealing the identities of his sources.

The journalist also urged people to preserve his statement so that the report could be verified in the future.

He said reports concerning Imran Khan’s health were increasingly becoming controversial, describing the situation as highly concerning. He called on PTI leadership and the leadership of the Tehreek-e-Tahafuz-e-Aain Pakistan to sit with Imran Khan’s family and adopt a clear and unified position regarding his health.

Referring to previous reports concerning an eye-related health issue involving Imran Khan, Jan said that at the time, some circles had also described reports about his health as information provided by intelligence agencies. However, he said, the seriousness of the eye condition later became apparent.

Jan stressed that political differences and internal disputes should not reach a point where political leaders fail to consult one another even on matters concerning Imran Khan’s health and life.

He called for a clear, responsible and unified position from the relevant political leadership regarding Imran Khan’s health.

The claim about Imran Khan’s reported transfer to PIMS Hospital had not been independently confirmed in the report.
