Approval Granted to Confer Civil Awards on Martyrs and Ghazis, 78 Names Included

ISLAMABAD: Approval has been granted to confer civil awards on the martyrs and Ghazis who made sacrifices and demonstrated exceptional courage for the country, with a total of 78 individuals included in the list.

A special committee meeting on gallantry awards was held under the chairmanship of Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi, where approval was given for civil awards for martyrs who laid down their lives for the country and Ghazis who demonstrated exceptional bravery and courage.

The committee approved civil awards for a total of 78 individuals across different categories.

Sacrifices of Martyrs and Ghazis a National Asset

Speaking at the meeting, Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi said encouraging those who sacrificed their lives for the country and demonstrated extraordinary courage was a national responsibility.

He said the country remained indebted to the unforgettable sacrifices of its martyrs and Ghazis.

“The great sacrifices of our martyrs and Ghazis are a national asset,” Mohsin Naqvi said, adding that their courage and devotion would always be remembered with honour.

Minister of State for Interior Talal Chaudhry, Federal Secretary Interior, Director General FIA, Additional Secretary Cabinet Division and other relevant officials attended the meeting.

Representatives from all four provinces also participated in the special committee meeting through Zoom.
