PMDC Reschedules MDCAT 2026 to September 20 on Prime Minister’s Directive

Karachi:The **Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC)** has announced that the **Medical and Dental College Admission Test (MDCAT) 2026** has been rescheduled to **September 20, 2026**, following the directive of Prime Minister **Shehbaz Sharif**.
According to an official PMDC statement, the examination, which was previously scheduled for **August 16, 2026**, has been postponed to ensure a more organized, secure, transparent, and candidate-friendly testing process.
The council clarified that, apart from the change in the examination date, **all other eligibility criteria, rules, regulations, and examination arrangements will remain unchanged**.
PMDC added that if any further revisions become necessary, they will be announced separately through official channels.
The council has advised candidates, parents, educational institutions, and all other stakeholders to stay updated through the **official PMDC website** and other authorized communication platforms for the latest announcements and instructions.
Expressing regret for any inconvenience caused by the schedule change, PMDC thanked students, parents, and educational institutions for their understanding and continued cooperation.
