Pakistani Boxer Qudrat Ullah Reportedly Goes Missing After Commonwealth Games in Glasgow

GLASGOW: Pakistani boxer Qudrat Ullah, who hails from Quetta, has reportedly gone missing after the conclusion of the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow, according to media reports.

Pakistan’s boxing contingent departed Glasgow for home after the Games concluded on Sunday. However, Qudrat Ullah did not board the team’s return flight to Pakistan, raising concerns about his whereabouts.

Pakistan’s boxing campaign ended with Fatima Zahra winning the country’s only bronze medal, while the men’s boxers failed to secure a podium finish.

Reacting to the reports, Pakistan Boxing Federation President Colonel (Retd.) Nasir Tung said he had not been officially informed that any boxer had gone missing. However, sources claimed that Qudrat Ullah had chosen not to return to Pakistan with the rest of the team.

The incident has drawn comparisons to the 2022 Commonwealth Games in England, where two Pakistani boxers also reportedly disappeared after the event instead of returning with the national squad.
