Texas Woman Converts to Islam After Spiritual Journey, Says Ramadan Changed Her Life

Islamabad: A woman from Texas, identified as Diana, has embraced Islam along with her two daughters after what she described as a years-long spiritual journey in search of faith and inner peace.

According to her account, Diana, who comes from a Hispanic Catholic family, had been curious about Islam since the sixth grade. However, she said she had limited opportunities to learn about the religion while growing up.

Her interest deepened during her university years, where she met Muslim friends and took a course on comparative religions. Diana said she was drawn to Islam’s emphasis on monotheism, the teachings of the Qur’an, and what she described as the faith’s simplicity and logical foundations.

She explained that about two years ago she began practicing Islamic teachings, and last year visited a mosque for the first time. During that period, she also observed the fasting month of Ramadan, prayed regularly, and celebrated Eid for the first time.

Diana and her two daughters later formally embraced Islam at a mosque in Texas by reciting the Shahada, the Islamic declaration of faith, in the presence of members of the local Muslim community.

A video of the emotional ceremony has since circulated widely on social media, where many users congratulated Diana and her daughters and offered prayers and messages of support. The story has attracted significant attention online, although it is based on Diana’s personal account shared through social media.
