Rashmika Mandanna Suffers Serious Injury During Film Shoot, Advised Six Weeks of Complete Rest

Mumbai: Indian actress Rashmika Mandanna has reportedly sustained a serious hip injury while filming action sequences for her upcoming films “Ranabali” and “Mysa,” forcing her to temporarily halt all professional commitments.
According to reports, Rashmika had been working continuously on multiple projects before suffering the injury during the filming of physically demanding action and dance scenes.
Doctors have advised the actress to take at least six weeks of complete rest and focus entirely on her recovery.
Medical examinations reportedly revealed that a tendon in her hip had completely detached, a severe injury more commonly seen in athletes subjected to intense physical strain. The seriousness of the injury has raised concerns about the length of her recovery.
For now, Rashmika has been strictly instructed to avoid all physical activity. Neither the actress nor her management team has issued an official statement regarding her condition.
The injury comes at a crucial stage in her career, as both “Ranabali” and “Mysa” are high-profile pan-India productions eagerly awaited by fans.
“Ranabali,” directed by Rahul Sankrityan, is a historical action drama set during the British colonial era between 1854 and 1878. The film stars Vijay Deverakonda in the lead role, with Rashmika portraying Jaya Amma, while Hollywood actor Arnold Vosloo plays the antagonist. Produced by Mythri Movie Makers and T-Series, the film is scheduled for release on September 11, 2026, in multiple languages.
Meanwhile, “Mysa,” directed by Ravindra Pulle, is a period action thriller based on the Gond tribal community. The film features Rashmika in one of the most physically demanding roles of her career and marks her first full-fledged action film as a lead actress. The cast also includes Guru Somasundaram, Aishwarya Raj, Rahul Ravindran, Rao Ramesh, and Tarak Ponnappa. Although an official release date has not yet been announced, the film is expected to hit cinemas later this year.
Fans have flooded social media with messages wishing Rashmika a speedy recovery and are eagerly awaiting her return to filming.
