Claim Emerges of Alleged Attack on PTI’s Aliya Hamza and Falak Javed Inside Kot Lakhpat Jail
LAHORE: Claims have surfaced alleging that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Aliya Hamza and party activist Falak Javed were subjected to a life-threatening attack inside Lahore’s Kot Lakhpat Jail.
According to a post on X by journalist Zaeem Laghari, the two women were allegedly attacked by other female inmates, who reportedly attempted to strangle them. The post further claimed that the alleged attackers were chanting slogans in support of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) and Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz during the incident.
As of now, the claims have not been independently verified, and no official statement has been issued by prison authorities or any government institution confirming or denying the alleged incident.

Aliya Hamza, a senior PTI leader and former member of the National Assembly, has been detained in connection with multiple cases involving allegations related to public order, protests, vandalism, and damage to public property. She is currently facing legal proceedings in several cases.
Falak Javed, a PTI activist, is also in custody over cases linked to protest activities. Both women remain detained at Kot Lakhpat Jail pending the completion of judicial proceedings.
The reported incident has sparked discussion on social media, while official confirmation of the allegations is still awaited.
