Heavy Rains Batter Dera Murad Jamali and Surrounding Areas, 25 Injured as Mud Houses Collapse

DERA MURAD JAMALI: Torrential rains accompanied by strong winds lashed Dera Murad Jamali, Usta Muhammad, Gandakha, Jhal Magsi, Bhag, and several other areas, causing widespread disruption, flooding, and injuries.
According to initial reports, at least 25 people were injured after hundreds of mud houses collapsed during the heavy downpour. The injured were shifted to nearby hospitals for medical treatment.
Rainwater inundated homes, markets, streets, and residential neighborhoods, creating flood-like conditions and severely disrupting daily life. Several electricity poles also collapsed, leaving many areas without power.
The heavy rainfall blocked roads and transportation routes, making movement difficult for residents. Floodwater entered numerous houses, forcing families to cope with extensive damage to property and household belongings.
Meanwhile, floodwater from the Chattar-Faleji stream reportedly entered the Rabi Canal, raising fears of flooding in nearby settlements. Authorities are monitoring the situation as residents remain concerned about further flooding if the rains continue.
The severe weather has affected thousands of residents across the region, with authorities and emergency services assessing the damage and responding to the affected areas.
