Sajid Tarar Claims Pakistani Embassies Abroad Are Promoting PTI

ISLAMABAD: Sajid Tarar, former adviser to U.S. President Donald Trump, has claimed that some officials at Pakistani embassies abroad are actively supporting Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), urging the Government of Pakistan to take immediate notice of the matter.

In his statement, Tarar alleged that if any government employee or member of the diplomatic staff is receiving a salary from the Government of Pakistan while working in favor of a political party, particularly PTI, they should resign immediately.

He warned that strict action should be taken against those found engaging in political activities while serving in official diplomatic positions.

According to Tarar, several Pakistani diplomatic missions have allegedly become centers of PTI-related activities. He described the situation as deeply concerning, claiming that many Pakistani embassies are functioning as hubs for the party’s supporters.

He called on the government to conduct a thorough investigation into the allegations and to take appropriate administrative and legal action if any embassy or diplomatic official is found to be involved in partisan political activities.

Tarar emphasized that the primary responsibility of Pakistan’s diplomatic missions is to safeguard the country’s national interests and represent the state abroad, not to promote the agenda of any political party.

He further stated that if diplomatic missions are found engaging in political activities, such conduct would be contrary to Pakistan’s national interests and established diplomatic principles.

The allegations made by Sajid Tarar have not been independently verified, and no official response from the Government of Pakistan or the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has been reported at this time.
