Inayat Kasi Denies Links to Any Group, Condemns Social Media Campaign Against Him
QUETTA: Former Balochistan Interior Minister and tribal leader Inayat Kasi Advocate has denied having any association with any group or organization, alleging that certain individuals are running a negative social media campaign against him. He said he reserves the right to pursue legal action against those responsible.
Speaking by telephone from Saudi Arabia on Thursday night, Inayat Kasi said the public service rendered by his late father, former federal minister Dr. Abdul Malik Kasi, and his family is well known across Balochistan. He said his family has always served people from all communities, including Baloch, Pashtun, Hazara, Saraiki, and Punjabi, without discrimination.
He stated that he has continued his father’s legacy by serving the public regardless of ethnicity or background, adding that this impartial approach has displeased certain elements who are now attempting to damage his reputation through what he described as a baseless propaganda campaign.
Kasi said he was currently in Makkah and, “before Allah,” categorically denied having any links with any organization, group, or land mafia. He added that his family has been blessed with sufficient resources and has no need to engage in unlawful activities.
He further alleged that false claims circulating on social media are aimed at advancing the personal interests of certain individuals by tarnishing the image of him and his family. He reiterated that he reserves the legal right to take action against those spreading what he called false and defamatory allegations.
Inayat Kasi also said his family’s home has always remained open to the people of Balochistan and claimed that no needy person has ever been turned away. He added that he has helped arrange marriages for underprivileged women and supported deserving families as charitable work, maintaining that his public welfare activities have become the target of an unjustified media campaign.
No response from the individuals or groups allegedly involved in the social media campaign was included in the statement.
