Actress Huma Saleem Accuses Pakistani Cricketer of Harassment, Defamation, and Deception
LAHORE: Pakistani actress and model Huma Saleem has levelled serious allegations of harassment, deception, fraud, and character assassination against a member of the Pakistan cricket team, indicating that she intends to pursue legal action. She did not disclose the cricketer’s identity in her public statements.
In a series of Instagram stories, Huma Saleem said she wished to expose a cricketer who, according to her, had crossed all limits through his alleged conduct.
She claimed that she has had no contact with the individual for the past two months but alleged that he continues to cause her mental distress whenever she attempts to move on with her life.
“No woman would willingly subject herself to social criticism unless matters had gone beyond acceptable limits,” she wrote.
The actress further stated that her legal team would soon reveal details regarding the cricketer’s alleged activities in hotels, which she claimed were funded by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB). However, she did not provide any evidence publicly at the time of making the allegations.
Huma Saleem also alleged that the cricketer had attempted to damage her reputation by contacting her family members, friends, and professional colleagues. She claimed that the alleged harassment continued both during and after their relationship.
According to her statement, the cricketer and members of his family were involved in efforts to malign her reputation. She described the relationship as emotionally painful and abusive, adding that she had remained silent for a long time but had now decided to speak out.
The actress said she intends to present evidence through her legal team in due course and pursue the matter through appropriate legal channels.
No official response has yet been issued by the Pakistan Cricket Board or by any cricketer in connection with the allegations. Since the individual concerned has not been publicly identified, the claims remain allegations and have not been independently verified.
