PM Shehbaz Sharif Holds Calls with Iranian President and Qatar’s Emir to Promote Regional Peace

Islamabad: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has intensified Pakistan’s diplomatic engagement aimed at promoting regional peace by holding separate telephone conversations with the President of Iran and the Emir of Qatar, amid concerns over recent tensions involving Iran and the wider region.
According to official details, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif discussed the evolving regional situation with the Iranian president and emphasized the importance of honoring commitments under the Islamabad Accord. He stressed that Iran and all other relevant parties should exercise restraint and patience in the broader interest of regional peace and stability.
The prime minister reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to supporting efforts aimed at restoring peace and stability in the region. During the conversation, the Iranian president reportedly reiterated Iran’s commitment to regional peace and appreciated Pakistan’s support and constructive diplomatic role during the current situation.
In a separate telephone call with Qatar’s Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, the two leaders exchanged views on the ongoing regional developments and agreed on the importance of maintaining diplomatic engagement and meaningful dialogue to help resolve the current crisis peacefully.
The conversations reflect Pakistan’s continued diplomatic efforts to encourage dialogue and de-escalation amid heightened regional tensions.
