Trump Warns US May Launch More Strikes on Iran Tonight at NATO Summit

Ankara: U.S. President Donald Trump has warned that the United States could carry out additional military strikes against Iranian targets later today, accusing Tehran of hostile actions and saying he was dissatisfied with Iran’s conduct.

Speaking to reporters on the sidelines of the NATO Summit in Ankara after meeting Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, Trump said Iran had behaved “very badly” and alleged that it launched drones and missiles at aircraft the previous day. He said the United States had already conducted powerful strikes on Iranian targets and indicated that further military action was likely.

Trump also said he believes the current ceasefire arrangement with Iran is effectively over and reiterated that Iran must never acquire nuclear weapons. He expressed frustration with Tehran and suggested that the United States may continue military operations if necessary.

During his remarks, Trump praised Türkiye and President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan for hosting what he described as a successful NATO summit. He also expressed optimism about Ukraine’s future, saying many Ukrainians currently in Poland hope to return home when conditions allow.

The U.S. president criticized NATO allies for what he described as insufficient support during the confrontation with Iran and reiterated that Iran cannot be allowed to develop nuclear weapons. He also singled out Spain, calling it a difficult NATO partner and criticizing its position on defense and cooperation issues.
