Federal Cabinet Approves Hajj Policy and Plan 2027–2030

ISLAMABAD:The Federal Cabinet has approved the **Hajj Policy and Plan for 2027–2030**, introducing long-term reforms aimed at improving Hajj management, transparency, and accessibility for intending pilgrims.

During a cabinet briefing, officials said the new policy will allow prospective pilgrims to **register for Hajj in any year up to 2030**, enabling the government to prepare a priority-based waiting list for future Hajj allocations.

The policy also includes the introduction of a **Shariah-compliant Hajj savings scheme**, allowing individuals to save gradually for their pilgrimage through an Islamic financial framework.

In addition, the government plans to **fully digitize the Hajj management system** to streamline registration, processing, and other administrative procedures.

The Federal Cabinet also directed that **Hajj assistants be appointed through a transparent and merit-based process**. It further instructed authorities to ensure **independent third-party validation** of both the government and private Hajj operations to enhance accountability and service quality.
