Three Militants Killed in Loralai Ambush, One FC Soldier Martyred

Loralai: Three suspected militants were killed after security forces repelled an ambush on their convoy in the Azmari Shor area of Balochistan’s Loralai district, while one Frontier Corps (FC) soldier was killed during the exchange of fire, according to security sources.

The incident occurred as security personnel were returning from a search operation launched following reports of militant activity in the area. Officials said armed assailants, who had been lying in wait, opened fire on the convoy.

Security forces responded immediately with what officials described as a swift and effective counterattack. During the ensuing gun battle, three suspected militants were killed, while other attackers reportedly fled under the cover of darkness into the surrounding mountainous terrain.

One FC soldier was killed in the line of duty while taking part in the operation.

Following the attack, additional security personnel were deployed to the area, and clearance and search operations were expanded across Azmari Shor and nearby locations to locate the fleeing suspects. Security forces also established checkpoints and intensified surveillance of the area.

Security officials said the ambush had been successfully foiled and reiterated their commitment to continuing intelligence-based operations against militant groups in Balochistan. They added that the fallen FC soldier would be laid to rest with full official honors after the completion of formal procedures.
