PkMAP Calls Hanna Urak Attack a Grave Security Failure, Demands Recovery of 11 Abductees
Quetta: The Pashtunkhwa Milli Awami Party (PkMAP) has strongly condemned the armed attack in the Killi Babri area of Hanna Urak, describing the incident as a clear example of the deteriorating law and order situation in Balochistan.
In a statement issued by its provincial secretariat, the party condemned the killings of four local residents—Naqeebullah, Ashraf Khan, Younis Khan, and Gulraiz—and the reported abduction of 11 others. It alleged that the provincial government had failed to protect the lives and property of citizens, saying that heavily armed groups were able to carry out attacks, open fire, and abduct residents with impunity.
The party described the Hanna Urak attack as a symbol of worsening insecurity and said it fully supports the demands of the protesters staging a sit-in on Quetta’s Airport Road.
PkMAP called on the authorities to ensure the safe recovery of the 11 missing individuals, dismantle armed groups operating in the area, and take immediate steps to restore peace and public security.
The party also directed its workers to actively participate in the ongoing Airport Road sit-in and to ensure a strong turnout at a public rally scheduled for Wednesday at 4:00 p.m. in front of B.A. Mall. According to the statement, a procession led by the party’s central leadership will depart from the party’s central secretariat at 3:00 p.m. to join the gathering.
Separately, a party delegation led by Central General Secretary Abdul Rahim Ziaratwal visited the Airport Road protest camp to express solidarity with the people of Hanna Urak. The delegation also included Central Secretary Dr. Hamid Khan Achakzai, Central Secretary Abdul Haq Abdal, Provincial General Secretary Kabir Afghan, and other party leaders and workers.
