Actress Amina Khan Faces Social Media Backlash Over Claim of Passing CSS Exam After Four Days of Preparation

LAHORE: Actress, director, and social activist Amina Khan has come under heavy criticism on social media after claiming that she passed Pakistan’s Central Superior Services (CSS) examination with only four days of preparation.
The claim was made during an appearance on a private television program, where Khan shared an anecdote from her early years. A video clip of the interview has since gone viral across social media platforms, triggering widespread debate.
Amina Khan, who transitioned from acting in television dramas to directing television commercials before recently returning to acting, said she appeared in the CSS examination while she was busy with drama shootings and had very little time to study.
“I only had four days to prepare because I was occupied with television productions,” she said, adding that she appeared in all eight written papers and successfully passed the examination.
The actress further revealed that despite qualifying in the examination, she chose not to pursue a career in the civil service.
Her remarks quickly drew mixed reactions online. While some social media users praised her academic ability, many others questioned the credibility of the claim, arguing that the CSS examination is widely regarded as one of Pakistan’s most competitive and demanding exams, typically requiring months or even years of preparation. The statement has since become the subject of extensive discussion and trolling on social media.
