PMDC Establishes MDCAT Test Centre in Islamabad for Balochistan Domicile Candidates

ISLAMABAD: In a significant facilitation measure for aspiring medical students from Balochistan, the Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC) has announced the establishment of an additional MDCAT examination centre in Islamabad exclusively for candidates holding Balochistan domicile.
According to a public notice issued by the PMDC, Bolan University of Medical Sciences will set up the additional MDCAT test centre in the federal capital to make it more convenient for students from Balochistan to appear in the entrance examination.
The council stated that the initiative aims to provide greater accessibility and ease for eligible candidates, particularly those who may find it difficult to travel to examination centres within the province.
PMDC has advised all eligible Balochistan domicile holders to complete their registration through the online portal available on the council’s official website within the prescribed deadline.
The public notice further stated that the Medical and Dental College Admission Test (MDCAT) will be conducted simultaneously across the country on Sunday, August 16, at 10:00 a.m.
The announcement pertains only to the location of the examination centre and does not alter the existing admission policy or seat allocation criteria for medical colleges.
