Tribal Protest Against Armed Group Blocks Hanna Urak Road Near Quetta

QUETTA: Residents and tribal elders of Hanna Urak, a popular tourist area near Quetta, staged a protest sit-in on Monday against the alleged activities and interference of an armed group, blocking the Hanna Urak Road for all types of traffic.

The road closure caused long queues of vehicles, leaving local residents and travelers stranded and facing significant inconvenience.

According to local tribal leaders, the protest was organized to oppose the presence and activities of the armed group in the area. They said they would not allow the peace of Hanna Urak to be disturbed under any circumstances.

The protesters stated that their peaceful sit-in would continue until the relevant authorities take concrete action against the armed group and address their security concerns.

The demonstration has disrupted traffic on the route, while authorities have yet to announce any immediate measures to resolve the situation.
