OGDCL Starts Gas Production from Sehto-1 Well in Khairpur
ISLAMABAD: Oil and Gas Development Company Limited (OGDCL) has commenced gas production from the Sehto-1 well located in Khairpur district of Sindh province.
According to an OGDCL spokesperson, the Sehto-1 well is currently producing approximately 6 million cubic feet of gas per day (MMCFD), marking a significant addition to the country’s energy resources.
The spokesperson said that a five-kilometer pipeline has been laid and connected to the Sinjhoro Gas Processing Plant to facilitate the transportation of gas from the well.
After processing at the Sinjhoro plant, the gas is being injected into the network of Sui Southern Gas Company (SSGC) for distribution to consumers.
OGDCL stated that the commencement of production from the Sehto-1 well will contribute to enhancing domestic gas supplies and support the country’s efforts to meet its growing energy demands.
