England Beat Croatia 4-2 in FIFA World Cup 2026 Opener as Harry Kane Shines

Dallas:** England launched their FIFA World Cup 2026 campaign in impressive fashion, defeating Croatia 4-2 in their Group L opening match at Dallas Stadium, with captain Harry Kane scoring twice.
England dominated possession and attacked aggressively from the start, but Croatia responded each time the Three Lions took the lead, ensuring a closely contested first half.
Harry Kane netted England’s first two goals, while Croatia fought back through goals from Martin Baturina and Petar Musa, leaving the score level at 2-2 at halftime.
England regained control shortly after the break when Jude Bellingham scored in the 47th minute to make it 3-2. The decisive fourth goal came in the 85th minute when substitute Marcus Rashford finished off a well-worked attacking move to secure victory for the English side.
In addition to Kane’s brace, Bellingham and Rashford also found the net for England, while Baturina and Musa were Croatia’s scorers.
The victory gives England a strong start in Group L and boosts their chances of progressing to the knockout stage. England will next face Ghana in Boston, while Croatia will continue their campaign with matches against Panama and Ghana.
