Mohsin Naqvi Praises Field Marshal Asim Munir Following US-Iran Peace Agreement

Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi has praised Syed Asim Munir following the announcement of a peace agreement between the United States and Iran.

In a message shared on social media, Naqvi posted a photograph of Field Marshal Asim Munir and wrote that he had “once again delivered,” adding that this time his contribution was not only for Pakistan but for the wider world.

The minister’s remarks came after Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif announced that the United States and Iran had reached a peace agreement aimed at ending hostilities and reducing regional tensions.

According to the prime minister, a formal signing ceremony for the agreement will take place on June 19 in Switzerland. He also acknowledged the diplomatic efforts of Qatar, Saudi Arabia and Türkiye in facilitating the agreement.

Shehbaz Sharif stated that the parties involved had agreed to an immediate and permanent cessation of military operations on all fronts. The agreement also includes provisions aimed at ending hostilities in multiple areas, including Lebanon.

The development has been welcomed by several regional and international stakeholders, who view it as a significant step toward stability, diplomacy and long-term peace in the Middle East.
