Signs of Growing Differences in MQM-P? Khawaja Izhar, Mustafa Kamal Exchange Sharp Remarks

Islamabad: Questions have emerged over possible internal differences within Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P) after senior leaders Khawaja Izhar-ul-Hassan (Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui was mentioned in the report context but statements appear attributed to MQM leadership) and Mustafa Kamal exchanged strong remarks against each other.
According to details, both leaders publicly criticized each other’s political stance in recent statements, reflecting apparent tensions within the party.
Khawaja Izhar said that the highest position in the party belongs to the workers, adding that leadership roles are decided by the organization and not individual preference.
On the other hand, Mustafa Kamal said that a leader without moral character cannot effectively represent the people’s case. He remarked that if character was not important, they would not have left MQM founder Altaf Hussain in the past.
He further stated that if party leadership seeks extensions from those whom rights are to be demanded, then those rights cannot be secured. He added that such positions are meaningless if they do not serve the public interest.
The exchange has sparked discussions about possible differences within MQM-P leadership circles.
