PM Shehbaz Says Economic Stability Has Enabled Relief for Public in Budget 2026-27

Islamabad: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has said that due to economic stability achieved with the grace of Allah and the prayers of the nation, the government has been able to provide relief to the public in the Federal Budget 2026-27.

In a statement regarding the federal budget, the prime minister expressed gratitude to the people of Pakistan for their patience and resilience during difficult economic conditions. He said that citizens endured hardships and played a key role in supporting efforts to stabilize the national economy.

Shehbaz Sharif stated that the government had promised that once economic stability was achieved, its benefits would be passed directly on to the people. “Alhamdulillah, the era of prosperity has now begun,” he said.

He added that the current budget marks the beginning of relief and public welfare measures after a challenging period. According to him, the budget is focused on reducing the burden on the salaried class while also promoting exports, agricultural growth, industrial development, investment, and overall economic expansion.

The prime minister emphasized that the main objective of the budget is to ensure that the benefits of a stronger economy reach ordinary citizens directly and improve their quality of life.

He also expressed gratitude to Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar, Chief of Army Staff Field Marshal Asim Munir, and Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb for their efforts. He further thanked the entire economic team, the chief ministers of all four provinces, and relevant institutions for their contribution in preparing the budget.

Shehbaz Sharif said that through collective efforts and professional commitment, the government has been able to deliver relief to the people. He expressed confidence that the journey of development and progress would continue and that the government would take all possible steps for public welfare.
