Nimra Shahid Responds to Falak Shabir’s Remarks on Clothing and Social Values

Karachi:Actress Nimra Shahid has reacted to singer Falak Shabir’s recent statement calling for legislation against wearing revealing clothes in public places, questioning the practicality of his stance while living abroad.

A few days ago, Falak Shabir appealed to the Chief Minister of Punjab to introduce laws restricting people from wearing short or revealing outfits in public spaces. His comments sparked widespread debate, with several celebrities sharing their opinions on the matter.

Speaking in a recent interview, Nimra Shahid pointed out that Falak Shabir and his wife, actress Sarah Khan, are currently living abroad, where people commonly wear more revealing clothing. She questioned what kind of society he was advocating for while residing in a country with different cultural norms.

The actress emphasized that children learn values and culture primarily from their parents. She said that regardless of how much Pakistan improves, it is ultimately the responsibility of parents to teach and instill cultural and moral values in their children.

Nimra Shahid added that she does not believe Falak Shabir is entirely wrong in expressing his concerns. However, she felt that the way he conveyed his message was inappropriate. According to her, Pakistan is an Islamic country, and it is important to work within the framework of Islamic values.

She further praised Sarah Khan, saying that the actress has portrayed admirable characters in television dramas and has always carried fashion gracefully. Nimra concluded by saying that Falak Shabir should not be overly concerned about such matters.
