Pakistan Railways to Take Legal Action Against YouTuber Over Misleading Video

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Railways has decided to take strict legal action against a YouTuber for allegedly misrepresenting a non-functional scrap coach as an active passenger carriage.

According to details, the YouTuber reportedly entered a parked, decommissioned railway coach at a yard and presented it as an operational passenger compartment in a video shared on social media.

A spokesperson for Pakistan Railways said that an official complaint will be submitted to the Federal Investigation Agency’s (FIA) Cyber Crime Wing on Monday.

The spokesperson added that the matter will be pursued to its logical conclusion and that legal proceedings will be completed against those found responsible for spreading misleading content.

Authorities stated that action is being taken to prevent the spread of misinformation regarding national institutions and their assets.
