Young Man Killed, Woman’s Legs Broken in Attack Over Love Marriage in Pakpattan

PAKPATTAN: A young man was shot dead and a woman was seriously injured in an alleged attack linked to a love marriage in the Chak Sadu Pipli area of Pakpattan, police said.

According to police officials, armed assailants opened fire on the couple, killing the young man on the spot.

Police stated that the attackers also severely assaulted the woman, allegedly breaking both of her legs. She was shifted to a hospital in critical condition for medical treatment.

The assailants reportedly attacked the deceased man’s parents as well before fleeing the scene.

Authorities have launched an investigation and are working to apprehend the suspects involved in the incident. Police said further details will emerge as the inquiry progresses.
