Employees of Anti-Terrorism Courts Receive Promotions After 30 Years

Islamabad: Employees working in Pakistan’s special Anti-Terrorism Courts (ATCs) have received promotions after nearly three decades, marking a historic development for court staff in Sindh.

The decision was approved by the government’s Departmental Promotion Committee during a meeting attended by Registrar of Special Courts, Syed Inayat Ali Shah, along with representatives from the Services and General Administration Department.

According to officials, stenographers, readers, and assistant staff members serving in Grade 16 were promoted to Grade 17 positions.

Court employees had reportedly been deprived of promotions for the past 30 years. Officials described the move as the first-ever promotion initiative in the history of Anti-Terrorism Courts in Sindh.

The decision has been welcomed by court employees, who had long been demanding career progression and service recognition.
