Xi Jinping Meets Shehbaz Sharif; China-Pakistan Friendship “Unbreakable,” Says Chinese President

Beijing (KNN) — Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif held an important meeting with Chinese President Xi Jinping in Beijing, where both leaders discussed key regional and global issues and reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening Pakistan-China relations.
According to details, the meeting focused on bilateral ties, strategic partnership, regional security, and global peace. The discussion took place in a cordial atmosphere, with both sides agreeing to further elevate their “ironclad friendship” to new heights.
Chinese President Xi Jinping warmly welcomed Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif to Beijing and praised the enduring relationship between the two countries. He said China always gives top priority to its brotherly ties with Pakistan, adding that both nations have stood by each other through every challenge in history, making their friendship “unbreakable.” He emphasized that Pakistan-China relations are built on mutual trust, cooperation, and shared economic development.
During the meeting, the leaders also discussed the regional and global situation, particularly the ongoing tensions in the Middle East and efforts to maintain peace and stability. Xi Jinping appreciated Pakistan’s diplomatic role, stating that China values Islamabad’s sincere and constructive efforts in mediating tensions between Iran and the United States, and acknowledged Pakistan as a responsible and positive force for regional peace.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif thanked the Chinese leadership for their warm response and reiterated that Pakistan’s strategic partnership with China remains a fundamental and non-negotiable pillar of its foreign policy. He said the iron brotherhood between the two countries is based on shared vision for peace, development, and prosperity of their peoples.
