Actress Momina Iqbal Appears Before NCCIA, Submits Evidence in Harassment Case

LAHORE: Pakistani actress Momina Iqbal appeared before the National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA) along with her lawyer in connection with a harassment case filed against a lawmaker of the Pakistan Muslim League (N).

According to reports, the actress submitted all digital and documentary evidence related to the alleged online harassment and threats to the investigating officials.

Sources said the formal investigation began after Momina Iqbal accused a member of the Punjab Assembly of online harassment, blackmail, and sending inappropriate messages. During her appearance at the NCCIA regional office in Lahore, the actress reportedly provided detailed evidence and information to investigators.

Internal NCCIA sources confirmed that officials are currently reviewing the submitted digital data and other evidence, while detailed questioning of the actress also continued during the proceedings.

Due to the sensitive nature of the case and intense public attention, Momina Iqbal reportedly used the rear entrance and exit of the NCCIA office to avoid interaction with media personnel and cameras.

Sources further stated that the PML-N lawmaker facing the allegations has not yet appeared before the investigation committee. The accused MPA had reportedly been directed to appear before the agency at 1 pm, but failed to do so within the scheduled time.

Officials said that if the nominated lawmaker does not join the investigation, the agency may issue a second notice for appearance.
