Actress Momina Iqbal Alleges Online Harassment and Death Threats by PML-N Lawmaker

LAHORE: Pakistani actress Momina Iqbal has alleged that she has been facing prolonged online harassment, cyberbullying, mental torture, and death threats from a Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) lawmaker.

In a statement shared on her Instagram story, the actress claimed that despite repeatedly reporting the matter to the Federal Investigation Agency, NCCIA, and Punjab Police, no meaningful action had been taken due to the alleged political influence of the accused individual.

Momina Iqbal stated that instead of ensuring justice, attempts were allegedly made to suppress her complaints and silence her voice. She further claimed that individuals associated with the office of Maryam Nawaz also tried to prevent a transparent investigation into the matter.

The actress said that both she and her family are now facing serious security threats as a result of speaking out and seeking legal action.

She called on the authorities to immediately launch an impartial investigation, provide protection to her family, and take strict legal action against those involved.

Momina Iqbal warned that if the issue continues to be ignored, she would be compelled to publicly release all available evidence during a press conference against everyone allegedly involved in harassment, threats, and suppressing her complaints to protect a political figure.

She also expressed hope that Maryam Nawaz would ensure fair and legal action against anyone found misusing authority or obstructing justice.
