Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Announces Summer Vacations for Educational Institutions

Peshawar: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has announced summer vacations for educational institutions in the province’s plain areas.

According to sources in the Education Department, educational institutions in the plain regions will remain closed from May 22 to August 31, 2026. Earlier, the summer vacation schedule for these areas was set from June 1 to August 31, 2026.

However, authorities decided to begin the holidays earlier due to the upcoming Eid holidays and the weekly Friday, Saturday, and Sunday breaks falling around May 22.

The Education Department stated that the schedule for summer vacations in both the plain and cold mountainous regions of the province had already been planned.

Officials further said that educational institutions in the coldest mountainous areas of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa will observe summer vacations from July 1 to July 31, 2026.
