Seven Terrorists Killed, Five Pakistan Army Personnel Martyred in Barkan Clearance Operation: ISPR

Rawalpindi (Daily Qudrat): According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), a joint intelligence-based clearance operation was conducted on the morning of May 13, 2026 by the Pakistan Army and Frontier Corps (FC) Balochistan in the Nosham area of District Barkhan against terrorists of the group “Fitna al-Hindustan,” allegedly operating under Indian sponsorship.
The ISPR statement said that during the operation, security forces tracked a large group of terrorists. A heavy exchange of fire took place, resulting in the killing of seven terrorists. A significant quantity of weapons, ammunition, and explosives was also recovered from their hideout.
During the intense firefight, five brave soldiers of the Pakistan Army embraced martyrdom while defending the country. The martyrs include Major Tauseef Ahmed Bhatti (31, Pakpattan), Naik Fida Hussain (36, Sukkur), Sepoy Zakir Hussain (32, Skardu), Sepoy Sohail Ahmed (21, Khanewal), and Sepoy Muhammad Ayaz (24, Rahim Yar Khan).
ISPR further stated that a search and clearance operation is continuing in the area to eliminate any remaining terrorists. Security forces and law enforcement agencies remain committed to the national vision “Azm-e-Istehkam,” approved by the Federal Apex Committee, aimed at eradicating terrorism supported from abroad and ensuring lasting peace in the country.
