Rumours Swirl on Social Media After Actress Trisha’s Cryptic Post Following Vijay’s Swearing-In as Tamil Nadu CM
CHENNAI: Speculation about a possible relationship between South Indian actor-turned-politician Joseph Vijay and actress Trisha Krishnan has intensified on social media after the latter shared a cryptic post following his swearing-in ceremony as Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu.
Trisha Krishnan, a leading actress in Tamil and Telugu cinema, attended Vijay’s oath-taking ceremony on Sunday, where he officially assumed office as the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu. She was reportedly present alongside Vijay’s parents during the high-profile event.
The actress later shared photos from the ceremony on Instagram, where her caption—“Love always roars and its echo is louder”—sparked widespread discussion online. Social media users quickly linked the post to ongoing rumours about her alleged closeness with Vijay.
According to Indian media reports, Trisha, 43, attended the ceremony with her mother, Uma Krishnan. During Vijay’s address after taking the oath, she was seen visibly emotional, reportedly smiling through tears as the audience applauded.
A separate image of Trisha warmly hugging Vijay’s mother, Shobha, also went viral, further fueling speculation on social platforms.
Vijay and Trisha have previously worked together in several films, and rumours about their personal relationship have circulated in the past. Speculation intensified further after reports regarding Vijay’s personal life surfaced in 2025, including claims about his separation from his wife, Sangeeta, after 26 years of marriage.
Sangeeta and the couple’s two children were not present at the swearing-in ceremony. Additional reports also suggest that Trisha and Vijay were seen together at a wedding in Chennai shortly after the emergence of divorce-related rumours.
Trisha was also reportedly present at Vijay’s residence on the day of election results, which coincided with her birthday, further adding to ongoing public curiosity about their association.
