Trump Praises His Own Iran Policy, Compares Record With Obama and Biden

Islamabad: Donald Trump has publicly praised his administration’s policies toward Iran, claiming major military and strategic successes while comparing his record with former US presidents Barack Obama and Joe Biden.

In a series of posts shared on his social media platform Truth Social, Trump highlighted what he described as the achievements of his administration during tensions with Iran.
Trump claimed that during his presidency, 159 Iranian boats were destroyed, while no such actions were taken under the Obama or Biden administrations.
He further stated that during previous governments, the nuclear agreement known as the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action remained in effect, resulting in comparatively lower tensions between Washington and Tehran.
In one of the images shared online, Trump showed what he claimed was a US laser defense system targeting Iranian drones, describing it as a major success of his administration’s defense strategy.
Another post featured a graphic showing large numbers of Iranian drones falling from the sky, which Trump compared to “butterflies dropping.”
Meanwhile, Trump warned that if negotiations regarding Iran fail, “Operation Project Freedom” could be launched in a more aggressive manner.
According to reports, Trump had earlier agreed to temporarily suspend the operation in the Strait of Hormuz following a request from Pakistan.
