Wave of Violence and Accidents Across Balochistan Leaves 11 Dead, Over 25 Injured

Balochistan – A series of violent incidents, security operations, target killings, and severe road accidents across multiple districts of Balochistan have left at least 11 people dead, including two alleged terrorists and two Afghan nationals, while more than 25 others sustained injuries.
The affected areas include Panjgur, Kachhi, Dera Bugti, Jhal Magsi, Dera Murad Jamali, Barkhan, and Turbat.
Armed Clashes in Barkhan and Dera Bugti Border Area
In Barkhan’s Baghau area and the border region of Upper Dera Bugti, intense clashes erupted between Bugti tribesmen and armed militants after militants allegedly kidnapped and killed a civilian from Rakni. Tribal fighters, led by Mir Aftab Bugti and Haji Khan Muhammad Bugti, reportedly encircled the militants, killing two alleged members of a banned outfit during the exchange of fire. Heavy firing continued at the time of the last reports.
Security Operation in Turbat Area
In the Dasht Boshli area of Turbat, security forces opened fire on a suspected vehicle during routine checking after it allegedly failed to stop at a signal. Two Afghan nationals, identified as Ghulam Jilani and a woman named Farida, were killed, while around 12 others were injured and taken into custody. Officials stated the group was allegedly attempting to travel illegally toward Iran. Children in the vehicle remained unharmed.
Targeted Attack in Dera Bugti
In another incident in the Sui area of Dera Bugti, armed men opened fire on a water tanker near a checkpoint, killing driver Lola Bugti and injuring another person named Hidayat.
Suicide Incident in Dera Murad Jamali
In a separate case near Dera Murad Jamali, a young man named Rafiq reportedly ended his own life by shooting himself in the village of Pana, allegedly due to personal distress.
Deadly Road Accidents Across Multiple Districts
Road accidents also claimed multiple lives across the province. In Kachhi’s Mithri area, a speeding dumper collided with a pickup vehicle on the national highway, killing two people and injuring three others.
In Panjgur’s Prom Cup area, a fast-moving vehicle overturned, killing one person identified as Sohail son of Wajdad and injuring six others.
In Jhal Magsi’s Gandawah area, a truck overturned, killing driver Abdul Ghani Mirjat and injuring two others. Another accident on the Landhi–Gandawah road left a man named Rais Muhammad severely injured.
Security and Investigations Underway
Police and law enforcement agencies have launched investigations into all incidents, while rescue and medical teams continue to provide assistance to the injured across affected regions.
