PPP Air Ambulance Project in Balochistan a Landmark Step in Public Healthcare: Hiyat Khan Achakzai

Quetta (Khabar Daily) — Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Balochistan leader Hiyat Khan Achakzai has described the launch of the “People’s Air Ambulance” service as the biggest and most revolutionary healthcare initiative in the province’s history.
In a statement, he said the project reflects the visionary leadership of PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari and the commitment to public service demonstrated by Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti.
Hiyat Khan Achakzai stated that Balochistan’s challenging geography has long made it difficult to transport patients from remote areas to hospitals in time during medical emergencies. He added that the air ambulance service will serve as a “lifeline” for people in far-flung and underdeveloped regions, ensuring that no precious life is lost due to delays in reaching healthcare facilities.
He praised Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti’s performance, saying that the government has earned public trust through practical measures rather than empty slogans. He noted that the PPP has always prioritized basic needs such as food, shelter, healthcare, and education, and this project is a practical reflection of that manifesto.
According to him, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari himself will inaugurate the historic project, which signals the party leadership’s serious commitment to addressing the long-standing deprivation in Balochistan.
He further said that reforms in health, education, and infrastructure mark the beginning of a new era in the province. The air ambulance service, he emphasized, is not just a facility but a fundamental right being delivered to the people after decades of neglect.
