Weather Turns Pleasant as Rain Spreads Across Pakistan; Urban Flooding Reported in Several Areas
Lahore and several parts of Pakistan experienced a mix of light and heavy rainfall, bringing a welcome change in weather conditions. According to reports, rain accompanied by thunder and lightning was recorded in Lahore, North Waziristan, Gujrat, Lodhran, Vehari, Burewala, Rahim Yar Khan, and Rajanpur.
In Jahanian, three people were injured after a wall collapsed during the rain. Meanwhile, heavy downpours in Qambar Shahdadkot, Sukkur, and Shikarpur caused water accumulation in low-lying areas, leading to urban flooding. In Ghotki and Ubauro, strong winds were followed by light rainfall.
The Meteorological Department has forecast that most parts of the country will remain hot and dry today. However, isolated rain with thunderstorms is expected in Islamabad, Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Gilgit-Baltistan, and Kashmir.
