According to media reports, the Canadian citizen, identified as Sara Michelle Lina, travelled to Pakistan’s Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province after meeting the man through social media. She reached the Timergara area of Lower Dir, where the relationship culminated in marriage with mutual consent.
Documents show that Sara Michelle Lina was born on May 12, 1989. She applied for a visa to Pakistan on March 6, 2026, and was granted a tourist/visit visa on March 10, 2026. Records indicate she was issued a 90-day single-entry visa valid from March 10 to June 9, 2026.
Local sources said the foreign national declined to speak to the media after the wedding. Meanwhile, the incident has generated interest and a wave of pleasant surprise in the local area, where residents have expressed curiosity about the unusual cross-border love story.
