Video Misrepresented: No Forced Removal of Sindh Governor’s Cap, Railway Police Clarify

SUKKUR: The viral video claiming that the Sindh Governor’s traditional cap was forcibly removed at Rohri Railway Station has been declared baseless, according to a clarification issued by the Railway Police spokesperson.
According to the statement reported by Express News, the Governor of Sindh received a warm welcome upon his arrival at Rohri Railway Station, where he was also presented with an ajrak and a traditional Sindhi cap as part of the reception ceremony.
The spokesperson clarified that the video circulating on social media has been misleadingly presented, creating the impression that the governor’s cap was forcibly removed, which is not true.
It was further explained that the cap was taken off by the governor’s secretary with his permission, but the footage was shared out of context.
It is worth noting that Sindh Governor Nahid Hameed arrived in Sukkur from Karachi by train the previous day, where he attended a ceremony at Shah Abdul Latif University under the Prime Minister’s Youth Programme and distributed laptops.
Speaking on the occasion, the governor said he had opted for a simple mode of travel on the instructions of the Prime Minister, adding that providing modern education and technology to youth remains a top government priority.
