Efforts Intensify for Legal Release of Bushra Bibi as PTI Seeks Political Calm and Dialogue

Islamabad: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Barrister Gohar Ali Khan has intensified efforts to secure the legal release of Bushra Bibi, holding key meetings aimed at building trust and encouraging a more conciliatory political approach.
According to sources, Barrister Gohar has held important consultations with the family of PTI founder Imran Khan as well as incarcerated party leaders in Kot Lakhpat Jail. During these meetings, he reportedly persuaded the family to adopt a more flexible stance and engage in dialogue.
As part of the understanding, it is said that the family has agreed to avoid making controversial public statements outside the jail, while Bushra Bibi’s family has also decided not to issue politically sensitive social media posts. The party, according to sources, will also refrain from holding contentious press conferences regarding the matter.
The sources further claim that efforts are being made to ensure Bushra Bibi’s release strictly through legal channels, while appeals of other imprisoned leaders are also expected to be heard soon.
Barrister Gohar, after visiting Kot Lakhpat Jail, also met Imran Khan’s sister Noreen Niazi in a detailed discussion. Reports suggest that a joint meeting is planned next week involving Barrister Gohar, opposition leader Mehmood Khan Achakzai, and Senator Allama Raja Nasir Abbas with the family to build consensus on the future course of action.
