Fire Erupts in Rehman Baba Express Engine; Railway Police Officer Dies in Karachi

Karachi: A fire broke out in the engine of the Rehman Baba Express traveling from Karachi to Peshawar, resulting in the death of a railway police officer during firefighting efforts.
According to reports, the incident occurred approximately 55 kilometers from Karachi, between Gudder and Dhabeji stations. The blaze erupted in the locomotive, prompting an فوری emergency response by railway staff.
During the operation to control the fire, Railway Police Inspector Mukhtiar Mehr, who was on duty in the Karachi Division, was severely affected by smoke inhalation. His condition worsened, and he later passed away.
Railway authorities stated that the train crew acted promptly and professionally by separating the affected engine from the باقي coaches, preventing the fire from spreading. Local residents also assisted officials in controlling the blaze.
