Varun Dhawan Faces Online Backlash After Teaser Release of Upcoming Film

Mumbai: Bollywood actor Varun Dhawan has found himself in controversy following the release of the teaser for his upcoming film Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Toh Hona Hai.
The teaser of the film, directed by David Dhawan, was released on Tuesday and quickly gained attention for its unusual AI-generated introduction featuring two children engaging in light-hearted conversation about their parents.
The teaser later introduces the lead cast, including Varun Dhawan alongside Mrunal Thakur and Pooja Hegde in a romantic triangle storyline.
However, the film has sparked controversy on social media after influencer Simran Bhatt alleged that scripted promotional reviews were being used for marketing purposes. She claimed that she and a friend were approached near Rajiv Chowk Metro Station and asked to give a pre-written review of the teaser.

According to her statement, she was told to comment on the teaser without even watching it, and when she refused, she was pressured to still participate in the promotional activity.
The influencer’s claims have divided social media users, with some questioning the film’s promotional strategy while others defended the actor and the marketing campaign.
Varun Dhawan also responded in the comment section, accusing the influencer of making the claims for attention and online engagement, which further escalated the dispute between the two sides.
