“Islamabad Is Now a City of Peace,” Says PML-N’s Pervez Rashid in Subtle Social Media Remark

Islamabad: Senior leader of the Pervez Rashid from the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) has issued a thought-provoking statement on social media following reported Iran–US negotiations, describing Islamabad as a “city of peace.”
In a post shared on X (formerly Twitter), Pervez Rashid reflected on the changing image of the capital, suggesting that Islamabad is now being recognized globally as a “city of peace.”

He contrasted the city’s past political atmosphere with its present situation, referring to earlier periods marked by protests, sit-ins, and disruptions that, according to him, often led to cancelled foreign visits and reduced investment opportunities for Pakistan.
Rashid stated that although the city remains the same, “leadership has changed,” implying that political stability has improved its international perception.
He further remarked that the slogan “Chalo Chalo Islamabad Chalo” should now be interpreted as a call for positive and constructive purposes rather than unrest or confrontation.
