Asim Munir and JD Vance Nominated for 2027 Nobel Peace Prize by SFJ

Islamabad: Advocacy group Sikhs for Justice (SFJ) has nominated Pakistan’s Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir and U.S. Vice President JD Vance for the 2027 Nobel Peace Prize.

According to details, SFJ submitted a formal application to the Norwegian Nobel Committee, citing the two leaders’ “key and historic role” in facilitating the recent ceasefire between the United States and Iran.

SFJ chief Gurpatwant Singh Pannun stated that Field Marshal Asim Munir, through what he described as “command diplomacy,” helped establish communication between Washington and Tehran, achieving what even international institutions like the United Nations could not. He claimed Munir would be remembered for generations as a “savior of peace” for averting a major global conflict.

Pannun also credited JD Vance for making critical political decisions that contributed to the process.

The organization further urged Pakistan and the United States to adopt a similar diplomatic approach to address the Khalistan issue. It also leveled allegations against the Indian government regarding actions against Sikhs, calling for international attention to the matter.
