Turkish President Erdoğan Congratulates Pakistan, Welcomes Iran–US Ceasefire

Islamabad: Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan has welcomed the recently announced ceasefire between United States and Iran, congratulating all parties involved, including Pakistan, for their efforts in achieving the agreement.

In an official statement shared on social media, Erdoğan described the ceasefire as a positive and encouraging development following weeks of escalating tensions that had pushed the region to the brink of war since late February.

He expressed hope that the agreement would be fully implemented without any provocations or acts of sabotage, emphasizing that even minor disruptions at such a sensitive stage could reignite tensions.

The Turkish president praised the diplomatic efforts of all countries involved, particularly referring to Pakistan as a “brotherly nation” and commending its role in facilitating the ceasefire.

Erdoğan noted that the region has endured prolonged periods of conflict, instability, and humanitarian crises, stressing that the time has come for lasting peace and stability. He highlighted that sustainable peace would benefit not only the region but the entire world.

Reaffirming Türkiye’s stance, Erdoğan said his country would continue to support dialogue, reconciliation, and peaceful solutions, and would stand behind all initiatives aimed at promoting global stability and prosperity.
